When is the ideal time to install PPF?
PPF is typically installed when a vehicle is new or shortly after delivery so the paint can be protected before normal wear occurs, since the film will not hide existing chips or defects that are already present.
Will PPF change the way my paint looks?
When properly installed, high-quality PPF is optically clear and maintains the original appearance of the paint, often enhancing gloss, with alternative finishes available for those looking for a different visual result.
How is the vehicle prepared before installation?
Each installation begins with a thorough wash, chemical decontamination, and clay bar treatment to remove bonded contaminants, ensuring the paint surface is clean so the film can adhere evenly and perform as intended.
How is the film cut and why does that matter?
PPF is cut using vehicle-specific digital patterns on a plotter rather than being trimmed directly on the car, which reduces risk to the paint and allows for consistent, repeatable coverage across all panels.
What are tucked or wrapped edges, and why are they important?
Where possible, pattern edges are intentionally extended and wrapped around panel edges so the film can be tucked out of sight, which minimizes visible seams, improves durability, and creates a cleaner, more OEM-style finish compared to exposed cut lines.
Does PPF really self-heal?
Modern PPF materials are engineered to self-heal minor surface marks when exposed to heat, such as sunlight or warm water, helping the film maintain a smoother appearance over time.
How long does PPF last and what happens when itās removed?
Our PPF is designed to last 10 years under normal driving conditions and, when removed properly, is intended to come off cleanly without damaging factory paint.
How long does the PPF installation process take, and what happens during that time?
Installation time depends on coverage level. A Full Front or Highway Package typically takes 2ā3 days, while a Full Body PPF install usually takes 4ā5 days.
Day one is focused on washing, decontamination, and surface prep. Installation is performed in stages to allow for precise alignment and edge wrapping. Final day is allocated for tucking edges, detailing, quality control, and allowing the film to properly cure before delivery.

"Wanted to get my windows tinted on my 2025 Toyota Tundra 1794 edition truck. Found Diamond Garage. I got what I considered a good deal to have my windows tinted with the level two ceramic film. Took it in on a Sunday afternoon and it was done in a couple of hours.
While it was being done, Avi and I had a discussion about getting my truck ceramic coated with their level 2 5 year coating and a full front PPF. He offered me a 10% discount on the package and I scheduled it for the following Saturday.
Since they needed to keep the truck for 72 hours, I rented a car and Avi drove me to the rental car place. His partner, Matt, did the install and both came out great.
My truck looks awesome! The window tinting comes with a lifetime warranty. I highly recommend bringing your vehicle to these guys if you want your windows tinted, paint protected or car ceramic coated. You will not be disappointed."
